Are you being serious? You go from “I do want to be at least perceived as a good neighbor” to “Go ahead stop me. I am a free to do this, it is not illegal.” So you’ve changed your mind? You don’t care about being perceived as a good neighbor? If you don’t want to be perceived as a bad neighbor, a good strategy for a guy like you might be not to talk to the neighbors at all. Just smile and wave and don’t talk. This way you’ll avoid saying anything that will reveal what lies beneath the “I want to be perceived as a good neighbor” bs.
