Interesting comparison. Eric Holder has about as much experience as a lawyer as our DA (though his JD is from Columbia and hers is from a local law school) and he used to make $2 mil./year before he got nominated. If you’re offered a high-ranking job in the White House, you don’t turn it down just because it does not pay very well. But I don’t think it works that way for more “menial” jobs such as San Diego County DA.
