“Why are decreasing prices a problem?”
Because it just causes the economy to freeze,
People can’t sell (can’t sell to cover their mortgage) they can’t move.
They can’t move they can’t relocate, retire etc… (the list goes on an on).
Heck I have even heard of divorces put on hold.
