People can’t sell (can’t sell to cover their mortgage) they can’t move.
They can’t move they can’t relocate, retire etc… (the list goes on an on).
Heck I have even heard of divorces put on hold.
Too bad, so sad. YOU ARE THE WEAKEST LINK, GOODBYE! If you can’t sell your house then you don’t sell it. If you can’t afford to pay your mortgage then GET THE HELL OUT OF IT and let someone who CAN afford it move in. If no one can afford it then the price needs to drop. If you can’t retire then you didn’t plan correctly and you need to suffer the consequences. If you can’t afford to get divorced then obviously you don’t hate each other that much or you’d find a way to make that work, too.
The same people whining about falling prices are the ones that have no pity for the homeless on the street because “they deserve it — they didn’t work hard enough”. Now that it’s their ass on the line they want mommy government to come and bail them out. THIS MAKES ME WANT TO VOMIT.
Do we live in a free-market system or a centrally-planned economy? I thought we learned that central planning doesn’t work when the Soviet Union collapsed. Looks to me like we’re going to have to learn it the hard way just like they did…
