Whats the big deal here. The OP is coming from DC. Of course he/she is far more politically sensitive. Talk to someone from NYC and they’ll decry the lack of good restaurants, nightlife or culture. If we were in DC we’d be crying about the lack of decent surf or outdoor activities.
