we use to pay $100/month for Time Warner bundle.
after we moved we tried DirecTV but had a bad install experience. canceled and got our money back.
frankly was quite ticked off too that we would have to pay extra for HD.
since then we went back to basic: over the air HD antenna, $0/month.
DSL/phone through AT&T at $30-40/month.
antenna goes to the computer, which network out to media extenders. shows are recorded thru windows media center onto the computer hard drive.
waiting for secondrun.tv to figure out how to get HULU programs to TV.
