We can’t seem to catch a break although I think there was a recession on the way already in most of the world (just look at Europe and the slowdown in Asia) that would have gotten to us anyway.
Since the contraction was already underway anyway and they are already taking steps to boost supply. I think the price shock will be temporary and minimized if it occurs.
But hey have you hear about the 100 MPG Ford !!! They should sell faster than the Prius in 2008.
