I’ve known some tenants who say
“You can show the place but I want Half rent.”
I’ve known some tenants who particularly mess it up during this process, the landlord has a “Right of inspection” which they sometimes use to bring a prospective buyer through, but that doesn’t mean you have to clean up.
Leave some drug paraphanalia around , that usually scares off buyers.
