Unless you love the look of stone or wood with area rugs, I would do carpet.
We have hardwood floors in house except the bedrooms. Both wood, laminate and tile/stone floors are hard on the feet and back.
If you’re planning on living in the condo, get something that is going to have you come home from a cruddy day at work, kick off your shoes and go ‘ah’.
