I think you may be ‘anticipating’ the shock, so you pull it. Might get better with practice, but you are right about ‘cannon’. I suspect that your first shot ever with the 357 was on, but afterwards you started ‘anticipating’ the recoil. You are using the P226 – so you must be using long/normal barrel.

I have burned around 500 Sig rounds and I have never “settled down”. Its just a hard to shoot round.
My father in-law who is a crack shot… And I do mean “crack” (former marine shooting instructor) had a hard time with the round as well…
