Anyone know the cost of replacing a windshield with a GPS receiver ? My wife’s car has a windshield chip.
Windshields don’t have GPS chips last time I checked. They may have the wire for the receiver.. but not the chip itself. What is the make and model of the vehicle? What option is the one that triggered the ‘GPS’..??

My guess would be that he/she is referring to a glass that has a embedded antenna in it. My car for instance runs a FM antenna on the rear/side quarter glass.
There are three cases to my knowledge in which you can’t go aftermarket with a glass (read, you need to get the OEM windshield from a stealer or OEM supplier)
1) Your glass has factory tint which is smoked glass. Most aftermarket glass do not have factory tint/smoked glass (and even it it did, chances are it wouldn’t match up…Expect to pay $$$ for smoked glass
2) You broke a window running antennas on it. Sometimes aftermarket glass don’t have those either.
