Some of these jobs(all the low paying ones) and many other dangerous and unhealthy jobs are populated by the working poor, legal and illegal immigrants and their offspring, especially in California. This population and the working poor in general take on some of the worst occupational health hazards, especially relative to pay, in this country.
Notice that the fire department and police don’t even make the top ten.It is not that I really have anything against their pay. It just seems like the treatment of working people is kind out of balance by some around here.
