to the untutored ear, many rush songs sound similar. and the singer seems hyperstimulated and upset. but it’s unclear why. if rush were my kid, I’d have to give him a timeout, until he calmed down and we could talk about it. “slow down, little Rush”, I’d say.
music criticism from the aged. I went to a B-52s concert at my wife’s urging, brought earplugs, an d immediately had to insert them. it was STILL too loud although at least i could hear afterwards. also, i felt like the music was assaulting my bones and heart muscle and could have caused an arrythmia. I am pretty sure that there isno reason to play music that loud other than to damage hearing.
I don’t mind turning up our little stereo in the garage pretty loud with music, but never at the point where you cannot possibly hear another person who sin’t screaming at you directly in your face.
and why is rush screaming about salesman. i can’t tell if he’s opposed to salesmen or in favor of salesmen.
