I prefer this to the “initial quality” ranking because this one is based on quality after the initial purchase excitement has worn off.
Buick is Number 1
Ford is number 13
Mazda is number……….wait for it…….34
Problems per 100 vehicles is relativiely close among the top performers with 37 seperating Buick and Ford but it then makes a big jump down around the bottom where Mazda resides with a whopping 68 seperating Ford and Mazda’s ranking.
