This always annoys me: “SD lacks culture”
It has alot of culture. Just not the kind of culture that is considered culture by some of those who consider themselves intellectuals.
I have lived in both areas and frankly, I don’t miss the “I’m more intellectual/artsy than you” attitude of the Bay Area one bit.
