Third world indicates a country that is underdeveloped. Although our debt is high, what percentage of Americans are living without running water? What percentage of people in India and China are living without running water and using animals for transportation and farming? China and India are growing fast and conditions are changing but many rural areas are still stuck in the 19th century.
