These so-called “auctions” have been proliferating and as most of us suspected, it’s just a huge scam. The whole purpose is to get the names of qualified buyers. Then, they string out the buyer to the last minute and hit them with a “bump in price” to acquire the home. It sounds just like the car business. I hope that this lawsuit prompts a whole lot of scrutiny from the CA Attorney General’s Office and that they get their butt’s roasted.
