there is a lack of good quality child care. At least there was back in 1995-1999 when it was a big issue for me.

Why do other people have to “solve my problems”. heck, why have any comunity, govt or so forth at all. Why shouldn’t I educate them all as well? Why depend on this whole “public school” thing. if I cannot pay for private tutors, I shouldn’t have reproduced.
“put ’em” is exactly how you’d feel if you were working like a dog and your wife was working and you were barely scraping by and you got thrown out of your day care with no place to turn and needing to get to work next week.
i suspect you are much wealthier than me when you ahd kids.
i suspect when people are actually scrambling for day care they view the situation 100% differently. I
I see your point-of-view; ‘i created the kids, i shoudl fend for them.” But in reality, what dopey men and women tell each other when they’re pondering having children is “oh honey it’ll work out, everyone makes it through”.
yeah, right. just barely. with super high levels of chaos, anxiety and uncertainty.
the government should be involved in schooling and childcare.
at least until the workday ends.
