There has been three “heirs” (that I know of) in my immediate area over the last 3 years who spent 2-4 months rehabbing the interior and exterior of their deceased relative’s home and promptly placed tenants in it. In all cases, the taxes were less than $700 year and those low assessments passed to the heirs.
