Same can be spin to say it went up because we had a Democrat controlled congress. Last I check, the decline $ is one of the main cause for investor to flock to commodities. Do you really think the President have control over the $? Last I check, the FED is an independent entity. Lowering interest rates over 300 points will do a pretty good number on the $.
