The talk of Asian students pushed to suicide reminded me of the kid a year ahead of me in high school. White kid. Class valedictorian. Committed suicide when he wasn’t accepted to Harvard. Parents have been pressuring kids to succeed for a long time.

What’s wrong with Clairemont High? I went there. I wasn’t valedictorian and went to SDSU not ivy… but I don’t think I’m a failure.
