The question I have is – why isn’t there the $20,000 “real time” option ?
I mean, if the guy didn’t pay his $75, punish him by charging him for the service but don’t let his house burn. That is the lose-lose option.
Go for the win-win option. He wants his house saved and is willing to pay. The firefighters want to save his house and fund the department.
Interesting to see if insurance will cover it.
