The Geithner pick is disappointing. Obama wanted Volcker as his first choice, but Volcker declined.

Luckily, Volcker is the head of Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board:

Hopefully Volcker will hold more sway in Obama’s administration than Geithner.
