The current design as lush and nice as it is looks out of balance to me.It looks like a screen. Some organic mass in the air on both sides of the pool and a shade structure would help a lot. The outdoor cabana is something I have really enjoyed…at other people’s houses.Might have one one day. I liked a three sided one with a bar on the open side but walk thrus are nice too. The one I saw that would have the mass that would compliment Ox’s Yard best ,IMO, was a poured in place 3 sided concrete one with a exposed beam roof. The walls were 18 inches thick . It had a “L” shaped concrete counter top and sink with a integral color concrete bar on the open side which was under shade. Concrete is actually cheap but it required an engineer’s stamp. There was a dividing wall, stud framed to enclose the bathroom. The host never had to open their house to guests at all because of the cabana/showers bathroom. Since it was fairly informal this was a good thing.
I saw the aerial on one of Ox’s post. The long driveway setback on the cul-de-sac is awesome. It’s a great property.
