Not only did I consent, I almost cried, so proud of my little girl, more so than when she graduated college at the top of her class. Watch it on TV and take the 10k was what she said and who says young people today are stupid, I beg to differ. So proud! The next generation will have Piggingtons.
That is great TG! Love hearing stories like this.
People have been saying the next generation is terrible since Aristotle’s time. It’s never been true.
Our kids chose basketball as their sport this year and I have to say, it is fun to watch kids play! Never a dull moment and I can actually see their playing improve week by week. There are very few sports where the improvement is evident on a weekly basis. It brings a smile to my face as I watch it.
Soccer, baseball, football, karate, I’ve watched the kids learn them all. None of them really all that fun to watch from the sidelines (to me) but basketball, that’s a whole nuther animal. Maybe it is because I get to sit so close to the action, I don’t know. But I find myself getting much more involved with the game. And they are super enthused about it…I’m hoping they stick with this one next year.
And yeah, I “watch” them learn. I would be a terrible teacher. I can’t play sports to save my soul. Not proud of that, but it’s a fact. No use denying it.
