Symbolism, whether it be a flag or a cross or a wedding ring, is such a ridiculous thing to spend any time and effort on in the first place.
I put so much more weight on what people actually do (how they treat their fellow man and, even more telling, animals). Worrying about symbols is such a waste of effort.
