We’re the same way. We have our list of criteria and big on “bang for your buck” too. Our list is just slightly different thank yours, with more emphasis on proximity and school.
-40 min or less to downtown/airport
-20 min or less to work (door to door)
-5 min or less to nearest grocery store
-10 min or less to Asian supermarket
