Usually those warranties are for manufacturing defects, not normal wear from usage. Theye didn’t put that clause in the warranty?[/quote]
No clause… “The only items are not covered are additives, soap, wax, cleaners, etc”

(12:18:37 PM) Me: Hi Tanner.
(12:18:42 PM) Tanner Amoroso: Hello!
(12:18:46 PM) Tanner Amoroso: Sure, what can I help with?
(12:19:03 PM) Me: I have a bunch of items that I’d like to send back with the lifetime warranty. (I already bought replacements from FCP recently).
(12:19:07 PM) Me: But i have a few questions
(12:19:20 PM) Me: 1. Are oil filters considered consumables that are not covered?
(12:21:36 PM) Tanner Amoroso: Yes! The are!
(12:21:51 PM) Tanner Amoroso: Oil and oil filters as well as cabin and air filters are covered
(12:22:00 PM) Me: oil is covered?
(12:22:05 PM) Me: That’s a consumable though
(12:22:09 PM) Tanner Amoroso: The only items are not covered are additives, soap, wax, cleaners, etc
(12:22:23 PM) Tanner Amoroso: Oil is covered under our Lifetime Warranty! To do so:
1) Reorder the same oil/service kit previously purchased from us
2) Perform your oil change, putting the old oil in the new bottles
4) When packing the oil, please put the bottles in a plastic bag and tie it off at the top to prevent any leaks. Include the returns form in the package and ship to 155 Hill St. Milford, CT, 06460
Returns process the business day after they arrive, and refunds post within 1-3 further business days.
We do not cover return shipping for warranty returns. If your car burns or leaks oil, the amount missing during the return deducts from the refund. Other items do not need to be returned in their original packaging.
(12:22:46 PM) Me: oh.
(12:22:53 PM) Me: What about things like brake fluid?
(12:23:29 PM) Tanner Amoroso: Yes, it is the same procedure! As mentioned, the only items that are not covered under the lifetime replacement guarantee are the ones referenced above!
(12:23:48 PM) Me: my goodness.
(12:23:58 PM) Me: I shouldn’t shop anywhere else. I mean i rarely do but…
(12:24:06 PM) Tanner Amoroso: Our lifetime replacement covers every single part we sell, including wear-and-tear items like brake pads, spark plugs, gaskets, rotors, filters, belts, wiper blades, etc. This covers every part across every brand, including OE, OEM, genuine, performance, aftermarket, and re-manufactured parts.
(12:24:21 PM) Me: That I knew. but fluids I always thought was consumable.
(12:24:33 PM) Me: I guess technically if it’s changed out, it isn’t consumed, lol
(12:24:48 PM) Tanner Amoroso: As long as we get it back, we dispose of it properly and you get a refund for the second purchased kit!
(12:25:04 PM) Me: whoa.
(12:25:11 PM) Tanner Amoroso: Awesome right?
(12:25:18 PM) Me: Does it have to be an identical item.
(12:25:35 PM) Me: For instance if I bought brake fluid brand 1, and next time brake fluid 2
(12:25:39 PM) Tanner Amoroso: Yes, technically, but not necessarily……
(12:25:47 PM) Tanner Amoroso: You can certainly still use the Lifetime Warranty to change brands, but you’ll need to use the attached returns form instead of the site because the site portal won’t allow brand changes.
The only difference in the process is that we’ll refund the original purchase price of the original brand instead of the new purchase price of the new brand. Effectively, you’re just paying the difference in price of the upgrade.

(12:26:04 PM) Me: that’s fine.
(12:26:19 PM) Me: Ok, how far back can i go back and do this?
(12:26:24 PM) Me: I didn’t realize this.
(12:26:39 PM) Me: And can I ship multiple items in different RMAs in one box?
(12:27:27 PM) Tanner Amoroso: The program started back in 2011 ( I believe ) As long as you follow the steps, we can have you covered. And yes! That is totally sufficient!
