Survival of the fittest.

I don’t think the strongest of us survived for eons by being nice.

Now we are thoroughly domesticated.

Lance is still an animal.

I doubt there will be any revenge upon him, any more than there is upon a leopard or a jackal.

The only reason to be good is if it works for you here and now.

Clearly this is what worked for him.
