For a normal induction motor:
(2HP*746 watts/HP)/60% efficiency = 2.5 Kw/hr. You should use less unless your pipes and filter are undersized.

Maybe that was my problem, I was running for 10 hours (8AM to 6PM). I was told to run it while there’s still sun light out. So it was costing me ~$190/month during the summer. I run 8-4PM during the winter.
