Places to go, cultural events. Sorry to say but SF is no NYC or Paris or Rome in term of culture. I rather take the $ I save and make a yearly trips to NYC and Paris and London etc. There are plenty of small plays and musicals in SD. So, you have more culture in SD than you can possibly experience. Yes, they tend to not have the biggest star casts but it’s no less cultural.
