spdrun…i think you already stated you don’t live here, so if you spent any time in OB, the street urchins are kids who choose not to work, and beg or demand money.
And the beach town that I spent a lot of time in as a kid didn’t have its share of such people? Right. Most stoners and homeless are harmless, if slightly irritating.
Might as well get the kid used to the fact that there are different kinds of people early. Otherwise they’ll be in for a rude awakening when they go to school in Berzerkely or Columbia!
