Sometime when you think you need a CPA, you just need an accountant. A CPA is licensed to practice in front of the IRS. If you just have book keeping and taxes to do, you may be able to find a non-CPA accountant that can do just as good of a job for much less. If you are getting audited by the IRS, or have other IRS business, then you probably do need a CPA. Just my 2 cents.
