I hate to say this but…I did so call this 2 years ago….
I predict another 4-5 years of high demand why we embark on a platform war between apple, google, and to a lesser degree microsoft….Afterwards, consolidation and a glut of mobile app developers (similar to .dotcom HTML script kiddies that tried to pass themselves as “software engineers”…), of which the market will probably look ugly for workers….by then I will be retired…
stockstrader, why work for google when you can work for a startup? It’s not like you’ll be seeing $600/share anytime soon, especially after today’s earnings…
SmellsFishy… There is no such thing as loyalty…. You think a company is going to magically say “hey, we’re paying you below market…We’ll give you a big 25-30%+ raise… “..Or that they are going to train you to do android yourself? No way, hell no…They don’t give a rats about you……Polish your resume and get cracking….Best time to move is when you are still employed….
Dice and hotjobs suck…
Indeed is ok… Enter “android” and “san diego”….
Or here’s a quick link…
You you be able to find something…within or of those 20+ pages worth of leads…Either that your you’re just unbelievably picky (nothing wrong with that)….
Or get a good recruiter and get on linkedin…
Outsourcing?…. Pfffff!!!! Whatever….
There’s absolutely no reason why you someone in your skillset should be treated like crap in this environment….There might be a recession, but it really doesn’t apply to you 🙂
