Since we’re letting cats out of bags my favorite restaurant in all of San Diego is the French place “Winesellar and Brasserie” which is in the very industrial border of Mira Mesa/Sorrento Valley and one of San Diego’s truly hidden gems. It ranks up there with Sushi Ota. Winesellar’s Filet Mignon blows away both Ruth’s Chris and Donovan’s (yes that’s right I said it).
For a daily staple food in Mira Mesa I highly recommend Pho Hua Cali on Black Mountain… mmmm Vietnamese.
A brewery or cool hang-out place would be great in that plaza.
