Shadowfax/Gandalf: So we’re clear: I am NOT endorsing anyone or anything having to do with the Tea Party. I was, however, making the point that Palin is more cunning and capable than she’s generally given credit for.
Watching her machinations as of late, I’m struck by the fact that she knows how to pull the various levers at the right time. No matter your thoughts about the Tea Party, it is viable in the sense that it commands votes and that ultimately is what the ball game is all about.

And feel free to unload on the Tea Partiers to your heart’s content. I find them interesting largely due to the parallels between the 1890s and 1930s and today. Very interesting times we’re now in.
