Let me make some calls to find out the scoop on ibm as soon as some of my pain medicine that is making me pseudo-dillusional wears off..
Considering that they employs hundreds of thousands of employees, 5k seems like a small pocket change for them.
IBM is doing something interesting for affected domestic employees. They are giving affected U.S. employees the opportunity to work at other international sites under work terms/etc of the local office. They will help you relocate, but you need to pay for it yourself.

IBM…lol. One company to add to the “avoid as employer list, if you can”. ..Actually, I add them to a “boycott their services/software” list along with microsoft.
I wonder what obamanator is going to say about this.
Sad part is that IBM is buying Sun Microsystem and along with that probably a good portion of the Java I.P.
