Schools arent always as big an issue as one might think. Lots of people send their kids to private no matter how good the schools are. In my hood our school is walking distance for most kids and the API score is top 10 in SD County. We probably have the lowest percentage of asian students among the top 10 too. Housing prices are significantly higher than Sorrento Heights and the commute is longer. Plenty of folks here send their kids to private school in spite of how good the school is.
