I’ve seen fascist brutes and the women who adore them.
Pathetic, really. But they’re out there.
This poem was apparently about her father.
I guess maybe it’s also a metaphor about people and their leaders, though. Some people like a brute with a boot in their face for some reason. I don’t get it. But they do.
