savedbypigs: I have no doubt you exist (and I am happy that you do!), but it seems to be an unfortunate aspect of modern American society that any woman who is intelligent, opinionated and independent is labeled. I won’t use the various terms, as I’m sure you know them already.
Sadly, ignorance, superficiality and crassness are celebrated to the detriment of intelligence and class. Paris Hilton is the most egregious example of this. This woman is possessed of absolutely nothing redeeming as regards talent, looks or ability, yet she is held up as an icon.
While this post is somewhat off track in that we are supposed to be dealing with issues of pre-nups and what constitutes a “nice” date, I think the present societal attitudes and mores definitely factor into the equation.
