Rustico, I think it’s an intellectual discussion in that we are physiologically made to be with the opposite sex. It’s hard to argue with that. On an emotional level, it’s not an intellectual argument and we should accept those who are different, and I do.
Even though I don’t feel that homosexuality is normal, I don’t hate those who are gay.
Instead of saying that people aren’t born this way, I should have said that I think they aren’t “supposed” to be born this way. I can never believe someone is meant to be gay, and I have made it clear why I feel that way. For those who are born this way, if they are it would be because of damaged “wiring” and basically a mistake.
I know this is hurtful to Brad and others who have loved ones that are gay, but I don’t know how else to explain my view on this. And I would never look down on someone who’s hurting.
Do I think all people who claim they are gay are born this way, no I don’t. For some, I really do believe it’s a lifestyle choice, with one or more factors influencing their decision.
