A good part of a year or more abroad is not necessarily out of the question with kids, mortgages or whatever. I’d like to live and travel abroad with the whole family when the oldest kids, who are a grade apart, are in middle school. The youngest would be in the 4th grade. The way I have been told and understand it, with home school abroad they don’t skip any grades.[/quote]
I like the way you think.
We’ve been trying to figure out how to do extended travelling – preferably not exclusively in peak (crowded) travel season – aka Summer.
My husband has family in Sicily and Paris and we both want to show the kids Asia.
I’d have to do a lot of research on their school curriculum to see what it would take to make sure they didn’t fall behind. But the experience would be awesome for them.
