Rus: I don’t subscribe to the notion of the US as being “blessed by God” (from a special providence vantage), rather I believe that we enjoy tremendous natural resources, economic and military power and what the British called “Splendid Isolation”, our being protected by two oceans.
I agree that Iraq has strategic importance, I also believe that if a Democrat is elected in ’08, we won’t waste any time in trying to get out and as fast as possible.
