We actually looked at that house. Pretty nice and I like the pool/backyard a lot. We ended up buying in Bay Park so I am obviously a fan of the area.
But at this place in particular, the traffic noise was way too much for me, by a long shot. Of course, that’s a matter of personal preference, and I happen to have a low tolerance for traffic noise. If you’ve been there to hear the noise multiple times (at different times of day/different atmospheric conditions) and it doesn’t bother you, then I guess it’s not an issue. It will definitely hurt the resale value of the house, but then again you are benefitting from that effect on the way in, so perhaps that is a wash. Best of luck.
One thing I would add to Rich’s comment is that whatever noise level you find bearable during the day maybe unbearable at night. My mother’s house is near the freeway in Las Vegas… During the day we don’t even notice it. During the stillness of the night it is quite loud.
Also, from living in that area of town I noticed during May Gray and June Gloom the aircraft noise is much lounder until the aircraft breaks through the layer.
