Remember that with a short sale, the bank has no relationship with the tenants. The bank only deals with the owners of the home so no the bank will not deal with the tenants at all. In short sale deals with tenants occupying the home the biggest worry is that they will not be out by the end of escrow even though the purchase agreement stipulates it. However I have not seen tenants do that as they have always left before close of escrow.
