qwerty: Funny you should mention vintage cars. I had a friend up in SF pay $70k for a 1970 Boss 302 back in 2004. He’s trying to unload it now and having a helluva time doing so.
I remember looking at a 1969 Mach I 428CJ that was selling for nearly $90k a few+ years back and laughing my ass off. That’s the car I drove in high school and I paid $1,900 for mine in 1981. It cost another $4k to restore it back then and I sold it for $11k in 1991 (down payment on my first house).
Prices on asset classes and values are tumbling all over.
