Possibly dumb question: What about Kindle (or other e-reader) purchases? Are they being taxed at all? Will they be subject to state taxes based on the registered residence of the user? We’re not paying taxes on i-tune downloads, right?
It seems like anything that can be downloaded to a device online – music, books, films, etc. – are going to be very hard to tax at the state level, or maybe I’m missing something.
