From physics standpoint, voltage is irrelevant, the important factor is the current. EMF is proportional to the current and inversely proportional to the distance between you and the power line.
A megaproject such as Sunrise Powerlink might pack some heavy juice – 4000 amp – you probably wouldn’t want to live under that one. Local power line could be 100 amp or lower. The EMF from a 100 amp line 200 feet away would be the same order of magnitude as “natural” fields from electric wires in your walls.
