McCain is lampooned more than Obama because he is a massive screwup. Just look at what he did last night in the debate. He made this ‘Joe’ the Plumber guy famous. McCain’s whole debate strategy was to paint Obama as a wealth redistributor because Obama was going to tax ‘Joe’ at a higher rate and give ‘Joe’s money to someone else.
Well, as it turns out, that was all a crock:
By his own account, Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher actually makes about $40,000 a year, which means Obama would CUT his taxes. The business he wants to buy grosses about $100,000 a year, not $250,000. He owes Ohio almost $1200 in back taxes, and there’s a lien on his house for an unpaid hospital bill.
Under Obama’s plan, ‘Joe’ would pay less in taxes now and less in taxes if he were to buy that plumbing business. Everything McCain said last night was a lie.
And, to top it off, as the article says, Joe may have ties to Keating. McCain is an idiot for not vetting this guy before making him famous. I shudder to think of the damage he could cause were he to be put in charge of an entire nation.
