Totally unconscionable and unacceptable. Certainly looks like a case of police brutality.
The other story about the LA Sheriffs shooting the man running out of the apartment is a very tragic accident, but it is not police brutality. If there was some way to prevent these types of accidents, I’m sure the cops would love to hear it, but saying that they should never use their guns is not a reasonable suggestion. They have to make life-or-death decisions in fractions of a second in some of the most extreme high-stress, unknown, uncontroled environments.
